IMG_4903I know it’s a lengthy title to this post, but I had to make a point, and get a possible chuckle…?

Do you have certain situations where you feel unclear about your intuitive guidance? Are you stuck asking yourself: What should I do? Where should I go next? Why am I not receiving an intuitive answer clearly or at all?

What it comes down to is, you aren’t surrendered to the process and to the guidance yet.  Surrender is where your power is.

How does lack of surrender look? Here are some examples. I have experienced all of them and many times.

You have a very strong attachment to the outcome.

This isn’t a bad thing at all and it shouldn’t get all mixed up in a discussion about the spiritual significance of desiring or not desiring things in our lives ( desires are wonderful and spiritual). What I mean is that even though we might have a really strong desire for something or against something, we can still surrender to it. We can learn to surrender to the answer from our intuitive guidance so that we are going with the flow of things instead of having a “tight grip” on the outcome.  Sometimes in our mind, we think our next step should go in one direction, but our intuition says something else. In the end we never could have really planned the amazing route our intuition sent us on.  Our inner guidance is all knowing, our mind only has a limited amount of possibilities.

You are scared, ashamed, or guilty about the possible intuitive answer.

Yes this can be tough and I know this so well. Let’s take an example.  I had a turbulent relationship with someone a long time ago. It wasn’t serving me. It took a while but at some point I realized and admitted to myself that I wasn’t happy.  That was a hard thing to do in itself let alone entertain the idea of leaving this person.  I was confused and didn’t know what to do, so I started to surrender.  I finally asked for help from the universe.  Before I gave up the fight, I was really struggling. It was a scary and guilt ridden idea to break up, but I eventually came to that conclusion inside myself and ultimately did what I was intuitively being called to do, move on.

This brings up a good point. We aren’t ready until we are. We can’t hear the answer until we are ready to hear it. This doesn’t mean we aren’t good at listening to our intuition. Sometimes we just need a little more time to come into alignment with it and be open to new possibilities.

You are obsessing and wondering when you are going to receive the intuitive answer plus totally entrenched with all the details surrounding the situation.

We NEED to step away from all the details of the situation to really hear a clear answer when we are thinking a mile a minute. If you are over-thinking and sorting through the details over and over, step away.  What do you do when you are knee deep in a technological explosion (IE website is crashing and you are about to flip out)? Go do something else! Anything else to get your mind off the problem so you can eventually come back with a fresh mind to see the situation clearly. Almost always, it will seem much easier and obvious than it was prior to stepping away.

Your power is in the surrender.
